Lauren and Garrett

few months ago, I ran a contest on my blog for a free wedding giveaway. I read through numerous entries and felt all of them for one reason or another deserved a free wedding. But there was just one that I fell in love the most. I opened the e-mail from Lauren and Garrett and felt something just a little bit different from the rest. Lauren's words seemed heavily dipped with honesty and I couldn't resist feeling overwhelmed with compassion for this couple. After much prayer, I came to my decision and e-mailed Lauren with the good news. I couldn't wait to meet this couple and work closely with them on their wedding day. 
Lauren and I made an appointment to talk about the wedding and all the details to follow. We met at Starbucks , grabbed a drink and began to get to know each other. Lauren sat down and handed me a card with a smile and thanked me for the opportunity to work together. After we said hello and hugged, I instantly knew I had made the right decision. Lauren beams kindness. She has a soft spirit of gentleness that you don't see often. I couldn't wait to meet Garrett and begin the process of getting to know them better.  
Finally we booked the engagement session and laughed as we walked around old town Scottsdale. The day was warm but we cooled off in the shade and talked about life and the details of planning a wedding. I feel so LUCKY to be able to document their love and can't wait to watch the day unfold. Thank you both for giving me this opportunity. You truly are an amazing couple.

Stephen and I loved watching Garrett and Lauren interact. Its SO obvious how much they adore each other. I loved especially watching Garrett talk with Lauren... he looks at her so sincerely.

There is just something about Lauren that reminds of Colbie Caillat. Lauren is GORGEOUS and so easy to photograph.

I LOVE LOVE this series of photos. I would say a feeling and they would express the feeling the best they could. Scared, laughter, funny, punk rock... its so much fun to watch what comes next!!
