Christine and Don : The Venetian Hotel Las Vegas

A few months ago, I received an email from a blog reader and fellow photographer in seek of new photos for her website. Her words were so sweet and kind as she wrote about her business and passion for photography. Christine mentioned she would also be at the infamous WPPI to learn more about business and meet new people. What a PERFECT time to take photos together! Christine was looking for some photos for her business. I mentioned that she should bring her husband so we could do a fun shoot of them together. Why not right?
She received my e-mail and poured out her thoughts about bringing her husband for photos. She explained how nice it would be to have photos together since she never had a big wedding with a wedding dress and a photographer! I couldn't believe it! How perfect! SO, like what any fabulous girl would do, she bought herself a stunning ivory wedding dress and had a first look with her husband at the gorgeous Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. Christine wanted to feel the entire day all over again in her gorgeous wedding dress and her feathery pink fuchsia Martinez Valero shoes.
A friend of mine and fellow photographer, Katelyn James came with me to watch and photograph this beautiful day with Christine and Don. On a side note, Katelyn is seriously one of the sweetest photographers in this crazy business. We really connected over dinner one night at WPPI and I just LOVE HER.
All of us met at the Venetian lobby and prepared for the shoot. We helped Christine slide into her perfectly fit Mori Lee ivory dress. she grabbed her gorgeous bouquet that she ordered from the wonderful florist staff at the MGM Grand and we walked along the stone pillars to see Don for the first look. We chatted briefly about how Christine and Don met and the story is adorable. The term "you got mail" might sound familiar to some of us but to Christine and Don, this phrase means everything. They met on the internet. Long before match or e-harmony existed, they met on AOL in a small little chatroom where only the two of them chatted. Eventually, Christine and Don met each other in person and quickly they found it was true love. As time passed, they decided to have a small ceremony at city hall. Christine wore a sage green sheath dress, sheer stockings and creme sandals while Don wore his Hugo Boss suit that he wore to work that day. They were married on their lunch hour!!!
Fast forward to February 2010, Don was wanting to give Christine an anniversary gift. A photo session with ME! Wow! I couldn't feel more honored to document your 11 years of marriage! Christine and Don, you guys make the sweetest couple and it was such an honor working with you!
I just loved how the wind blew through Christine's dress.
I had to put up at least one casino vegas shot right?!
