his past week, Stephen and I flew to the east coast to visit our family and photograph an awesome couple in New York City. There is nothing like the east coast. New York is a photographers playground. There are tons of places to shoot! Although the humidity is a bit to handle for us phoenicians, it's always a blast walking the streets of a big city full of history.

We just happened to arrive in New York on the HOTTEST day of the year. Regardless of the heat, we made our way through the cobblestone streets of the city and found some pretty neat little nooks to shoot in. Tara and Lee picked the spots they loved and I just couldn't get enough of them. We took a cool break in the city cab and made our way to the new Highline Park which overlooks the city. I was blown away by how awesome this narrow park is. Tara and Lee are the kind of people that you could hang out with all night. They are so easy going and full of life. I just feel so blessed to be working with such an awesome couple.

After we made it through the shoot, we got to know each other a little better over pasta and wine at one of Tara and Lee's favorite places. We made the best of it regardless and we beat the heat!

Tara is also a photographer in New York and she's pretty awesome :) I cannot WAIT to document their wedding this September in Indiana! To see a slideshow of the rest of the day, click HERE.
I love New York Cities old buildings made of brick.
I loved this alley that Tara found.
Sometimes I wish I lived in an apartment like this :) So much character!
Can't have a New York City shoot without having a taxi cab in a shot.
Tara, you are beautiful. Lee was so sweet and surprised Tara with a pair of nude Louboutins for the shoot. Such a lucky girl!
Love these shots of them!
Highline Park overlooks the meat district area of New York. Awesome at sunset!
