Karen and John : Orpheum Penthouse Engagements

I finally had the chance to meet Karen and John this past week at the lovely Orpheum Penthouse in downtown Phoenix. I just couldn't wait to FINALLY get these two in front of my camera. After a LOT of talk about our much anticipated engagement session, the day had finally come and I was ready to get to know these two and what they are all about.
The first thing I noticed about Karen and John was of course just how ADORABLE they are together. It's not difficult to take a pretty picture of these two! Karen is one of those girls that has a contagious personality. She's gorgeous, so sweet and not to mention, hilarious. We all found ourselves laughing as we bared the hot Arizona heat. After getting to know Karen a bit more over the phone, we decided that The Orpheum Penthouse would be a perfect fit for their personalities. We loved the modern sleek look of the Orpheum and we couldn't wait to get started.
While photographing at the Orpheum, Karen and John became more comfortable in front of the camera while explaining to Stephen and I how they met.
I watched them both embrace each other a little bit tighter while they explained how they fell in love.

John currently lives here in Phoenix and Karen currently lives in Chicago but next year, they plan to celebrate their wedding with close family and friends here in Phoenix. Sometimes long distance can make us feel worlds apart, but thank goodness for the phone and skype!!
The Orpheum has so many creative spots to work with.

Karen and John both love a little bit of nature so we made sure to find some green nature amidst the Arizona heat.
I love John's sweet spirit around Karen. It's obvious how much he adores her.
